As many of you might already know I did a nice project for the world famous sports brand Nike. My part in the project ended in the beginning of 2011, but I couldn't show or tell you anything of the project for another year. I'm happy to finally announce that the project is now completely finished and I'm finally able to tell some more about this project.
I was commissioned by Nike Global to design two illustrations for their Summer 2012 collection. One illustration of the Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal, and one of the Swiss tennis player Roger Federer. Both regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.
On April 28th the Sliced Pixel 'Girl with a pearl earring' (part of my Dutch Masters series) will be released by UK based art Gallery Artizum. Artizum Gallery is focused on showing the best contemporary fine art not just the UK but from around the world.
"Featured artists have been hand selected for their ability to absorb the viewer into their works, their standing in the art community and the current and future prospects that make them a key target for investment."
Artizum will sell the works of many different artists including the well known BANKSY, Ben Eine, D*Face, Blek le Rat, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.
The big winter exhibition from Pictures On Walls has opened as of December 1st. Every year Pictures On Walls organizes a big winter exhibition in London featuring artists from all over the world.
This year the main artist is the German stencil artist EVOL, but besides the work of EVOL, you will find the works of many others, including the work of Banksy, Paul Insect, Invader and that of myself. The Sliced Pixel Fox that was screen printed by Pictures on Walls is also part of this exhibition. So if you're in London you really can't afford to miss this exhibition!
It's been quite a while ago since I started a experiment that would later result in, what I now call, the Sliced Pixel Project. A project that received a very positive response of the design community, has been featured on thousands of websites, multiple magazines and could even been seen on exhibitions.
On the 15th of October the exhibition 'Black and White Are Not Colors' opens in the Ship of Fools gallery in The Hague. There's a new exhibition coming up in which I'm participating. The exhibition is hosted by Dutch online design magazine Fontanel together with Graphic Design Festival Breda and takes place in the Ship of Fools Art Gallery in The Hague.
